Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek. Nu zijn 141.000 65plussers nog aan het werk,
waaronder 42.000 vrouwen. Vijf jaar geleden waren dat er 92.000.
Omdat in veel cao’s staat dat werknemers op hun 65ste moeten worden
ontslagen, worden mensen vaak weer ingehuurd op basis van een jaarcontract, via
een uitzendbureau of als zelfstandig ondernemer zonder personeel (zzp’er).

Want mensen van de lagere klassen willen niets liever dan verhuizen naar het noordoosten. Je op z’n minst fysiek naar een betere buurt kunnen verplaatsen, geeft in ieder geval de schijn dat het beter met je gaat, ook al word je door je buren met de nek aangekeken.
Chili is een van de meest stabiele en welvarende landen in Zuid-Amerika. ze actief en staan middenin het leven. Het is hartverwarmend om te zien
hoe lief de tiener-kleinkinderen omgaan met hun grootouders.
Panama Stad, de hoofdstad van Panama, heeft twee gezichten: een moderne stad met wolkenkrabbers en een belangrijk internationaal centrum in het bankwezen; daarnaast een gebied met kleine straatjes en houten huizen en eeuwenoude forten, achtergelaten door de Spaanse veroveraars. De stad ligt aan de ingang van het Panama Kanaal vanaf de Stille Oceaan. Door deze belangrijke waterweg is de Panamese cultuur een mengsel van invloeden uit de hele wereld. |
